Pilates and Yoga
A strong core is essential for everyday movement, from picking up kids, carrying groceries, to lifting kayaks onto cars! Pilates is a core strengthening discipline that strengthens the back, hips, and abdominal muscles. Maintaining a neutral spine during specific exercises, students will gain strength in the core muscles, an increase in flexibility, improved posture and balance. Yoga postures focusing on the navel point will also be incorporated into this class. Pilates and Yoga is suitable for everyone as we will modify postures accordingly to ensure that you move safely through the class. No experience is necessary.
Rise and Shine yoga

Restorative yoga is simply that – restorative. It is the centering of your breath and body – aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time. The practice is about returning to your true nature, that place of infinite calm that lies deep within each of us – complete ease – where we can truly let go and heal. With each posture we drop deeper and deeper into that reservoir of calm available within each of us.
Restorative yoga is a passive, gentle style of yoga using props to support the body for longer holds. We start with some gentle movement and stretching and then progress into the supported restorative postures. The poses are usually lying down or seated postures using blankets, bolsters, and blocks. It is a very relaxing form of yoga which will complement your active practice.
Is a spiritual practice that is a self discipline of the mind and body to serve the soul. In Kundalini yoga it most often refers to the practice done during the 2 1/2 hours before the rising of the sun. It operates under the principle of karma: that whatever you give comes back tenfold, so with 2 1/2 hours given to the Divine or spiritual practice, then you are covered for the entire day and then some with blessings. The angle of the sun to the earth during this time is also very fortuitous and our biorhytms are ideal for cleansing the body and mind. Take this special time for yourself when others are still in bed and you will reap enormous benefits! See The Aquarian Sadhana Mantras here!
We hold special monthly classes where all proceeds are donated to a chosen charity. The suggested amount is $10, but no donation is too small. Check our special events page for upcoming karma yoga dates.
